Equus Run Vineyards E-session

It really isn't work when you are working with lovely clients like Kate and Jared. They were so great even though the rain was threatening our session every 5 minutes or so. We kept having to get in and out of the car to avoid getting soaked. Luckily it cleared up about 45 minutes into our session and we ended up getting some really great shots. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding!

Georgetown, KY

Saturday evening was prom night in Scott County. I met my sister-in-law, who is a junior, down at Georgetown college to take some pictures of the girls and their dates. All the girls looked so pretty in their sparkly dresses, some long, but most girls were wearing a shorter style.

Sunday was a beautiful evening for a maternity session. It's been winter here in Lexington, KY for wayyyy too long. I was beginning to think that spring would never come. Well the temperature is finally creeping up into the 60's and 70's, which if you've been stuck in a winter climate for months, way as well just be 100 degrees. While I wasn't lucky enough to spy any budding flowers, I was thankful for a nice temperature and beautiful sunlight. Valerie, her boyfriend Julius, and I traveled along the beautiful Pisgah road that goes from Nicholasville and into Versailles, KY. Truly once of my favorite scenic roads in the area. Valerie looked beautiful and I just LOVED her blue lace shirt that she wore. I can't wait to see her beautiful baby girl that is due in roughly 12 weeks:). I may have to purchase a new backdrop and faux wood floor, and a new basket to photograph her in 🙂

I am so excited to finally be able to launch my official Brandi Kristina Photography blog! My website is currently a work in progress. For the next month or so I will be updating it weekly by adding pictures under my  'portfolio' tab and tweaking the design a little. I have so many shoots coming up, just waiting for winter to go AWAY for good. It is currently snowing as I write this. I am pretty sure it was 80* this time last year. Not only am I launching my blog today, but I am officially opening the doors to Brandi Kristina Photography. This is exciting and scary all at the same time! Before I officially stated that I was going into business I was happy to get a session here and there because I wasn't actually doing anything to get clients. Now it is official and that means the pressure is on! That's ok though:). I am so excited for the the future holds. For those that don't know me, I currently reside in the Lexington, KY area with my husband, who is a self-employed contractor, and my adorable 2  year old son, who I am OBSESSED with. A few things about me.... I LOVE dark chocolate. Like obsessed. I was raised in Dunedin, Florida. Love it there. Country and Christian music are the 2 genres I listen to the most I am a girlie girl and love all things girlie-makeup, hair extensions, clothes I am a die-hard UK fan. I cry when we lose games (especially big ones) I find writing a blog to be awkward...hopefully I get over that 😉
