So,  2017 grads have graduated, its officially SUMMER, and you are coming to terms with starting the best + LAST year of your high school career. NOW WHAT? YOU BOOK YOUR SENIOR PORTRAITS OF COURSE.

But isn't it too early? Since you are officially a senior I say heck to the no! Senior year is filled with college visits, sports, finals, dances, and your weekends will be packed with activities typically.  I know you have probably heard me say it before but summer is one of the BEST times to take senior portraits. Aside from the short (and busy) spring being my favorite time to take portraits, but second favorite is summer.

One. I LOVE the light. It's what dreams were made of. Two. The days are longer which means we typically get in more shoot time. I shoot 90% of my sessions in the shade so it never gets too hot. Also, we are typically not as busy with school activities in the summer. You will be one of the first of your friends to have their senior portraits taken. While I am booking into fall, my August and September dates are booking (so if you want a fall date now is a good time to reserve that).

If you are interested in booking this summer read about our promotions ---->>>>

1. If you book your summer session for June you will get 15% off your senior portrait experience + a complimentary Storyboard

End of July/first week of August is perfect for sunflower fields

Mid July is great if you want to incorporate the fair into your senior session

June + July are typically great for longer grass (before it all gets cut)

One of my favorite things about my job is providing my seniors with the BEST professional hair + makeup around. I always say that I love my makeup ladies and literally could NOT do my job without them. They use camera-ready HD makeup products and they know which hair products to use depending on your hair type. Last year I added The Vogue Session where my makeup artist will go ON-LOCATION with us and change up your look! This is for the senior that wants a truly exclusive senior portrait experience.

Everman_LOGO_1PINEvery BKP senior gets to customize their session to match their personal style. Whether you go glam or natural, I want your session to reflect you and your personality. When you book your session I immediately send out my BKP Welcome Packet. I am SO excited to be offering a 73 page what to wear guide this year! Inside it goes over skin tones and clothing that compliments. I also set up a Pinterest board that we can each pin to. This really gives me an idea of what type of session you want. I encourage my girls to pin clothing, hair and makeup for session inspiration. Here is one of my boards from fall.

After I get a good idea of what my senior wants we meet in person to really narrow everything down and get 3-4 beautiful styled looks together that include outfits, makeup and hair changes. I then create a style board that I send to my makeup artist so that they are prepared ahead of time.

On the day of your session we start professional hair + makeup at my makeup artist's studio. This process takes about 1.5 hours and my girls enjoy every second of it! I always love it when they see themselves for the first time. When you are done we will go on-location and shoot for 3 hours! Your makeup artist will come along to change up your look and help with touchups.

With Emma we started off with long, loose curls. Dana of PinkLouLou prepped her hair with the correct products so that her next 2 styles would be a seamless transition.

She then wanted to change into this adorable half up style with a bolder lip. You can't see it from the pinterest screen shot, but she pinned a Lauren Conrad look that is very similar to this look, outfit and all.

We finished the night the night with this gorgeous french side-braid for our sunset shots of the evening. Emma pulled off each look flawlessly and was gorgeous doing so.
