Almost 2 years a go I remember my husband coming home after a day of working and telling me that David was going to propose to his sister. I was SO excited. And then he told me that David wanted me to capture the proposal on camera. I immediately accepted but inside I was DYING with nervousness. Everything went smoothly of course and they planned to marry on New Years Eve 2014.

The wedding was stunning. Every detail was thoughtfully planned out by the bride herself, from the gorgeous Rent the Runway dresses to all the sweet DIY touches she added to her wedding day. It was a frigid and sunny day, but everything went off without a hitch and Kristin and David were married by the same pastor who married my husband and I.

The Josephina is such a stunningly quaint venue in Dryridge, KY. The barn adds this beautiful natural light and they have all kinds of little lights added to give it a warm glow. I am grateful to have helped photograph my sister’s wedding day and happy to gain a brother in law! A huge thanks to Scott Hayes who diligently helped me all day long, catching such amazing little detail shots and really taking a weight off my shoulder. Most people don’t know that I actually have more wedding experience than just about anything else since I started working with Scott back in 2011! I am grateful to him for teaching me and allowing me to follow him. I have learned so much! He is a wedding videographer by trade and is simply amazing, although if you also want to edit a more professional video the use of a video production service could also be a great choice for this purpose.
