How to Achieve a No Makeup Look
Quote: “I believe all women are pretty without makeup – but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful” – Bobbi Brown
Question: How can I achieve a makeup look that seems like I’m not wearing tons of makeup?
Whether you don’t have enough time to get ready or you’re wanting to change your makeup routine the no makeup look is perfect for any occasion. I asked my SIL, Katelyn, to give me her best no-makeup look and she definitely delivered!
First, prep your face with a moisturizer. We used Bobby Brown Face Base. Then apply a small amount of concealer under your eyes, blend with a beauty blender or brush. I like to either use a tinted moisturizer OR mix a full coverage foundation with something lighter. For this look Katelyn mixed YSL All Hours Foundation with NYX Total Control.
Second, using a fluffier blush apply a finishing powder to your face. We both love the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. Make sure that you’re applying the powder to all areas of your face. If you want to skip the foundation altogether I would use a powdered foundation over your moisturizer and concealer.
Instead of completely filling in your eyebrows, darken them with an angled brush or eyebrow gel. This will create a natural bushy look for your brows. But do visit a Microblading London salon before you try this out.
Use contour powder: apply highlighter under eyes, lower jaw line and in the middle of your forehead. Use the bronzer and apply to cheekbones and outer forehead.
We lined the lips with Mac lip liner in Whirl and filled them in with Two faced Naked Dolly.
Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. Katelyn has eyelash extensions, but you can easily achieve the same look with some falsies. This is totally optional and if you really want to go natural just apply a few coats of mascara.
Completing a no makeup is quick and only uses a few products. Its perfect for a soft natural makeup look and doesn’t take much experience in regards to makeup.
